Welcome!

Thank you for visiting my campaign website for Lynnwood City Council Position 5. I was honored to be appointed to this position. I now hope to earn your vote to continue working as a public servant on your behalf.

Why Am I Running?

Leadership Rooted in Service. Solutions Grounded in Community.

Lynnwood has become increasingly less affordable and less accessible. Too many people are being left out or left behind in our community. We face serious economic challenges impacting the city and every household budget. Public health and safety remains an ongoing concern throughout our community, and too many residents feel unheard.

I believe in Lynnwood's potential and I believe we have a promising future - but we need a City Council focused and ready to work together to tackle these issues. It's time for a City Council that listens, collaborates, and delivers results for the community. For years, I’ve stood up for these issues, first as a resident engaging with city leaders, then as a Lynnwood Planning Commissioner, and now as a Councilmember. I’m running to restore trust in local government and to bring practical, people-first solutions to the issues we face. I’m ready to keep working for you.

Meet Robert

I have been a Puget Sound resident since 2010, when I was assigned to Joint Base Lewis-McChord. After completing my active duty service in the Army, I chose to put down roots and continue my civilian career in the region. In 2018, I became a first-time homeowner in Lynnwood, and in 2023 began contributing to local leadership as a Planning Commissioner. Today, I serve proudly on the City Council and act as Liaison to both the Parks & Recreation Board and the DEI Commission.

My academic path led me from a Bachelor's in Political Science at the University of North Texas to an MBA from the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business. Professionally, I’ve worked as an international program manager for a Seattle-based multinational corporation, and previously supported hundreds of thousands of union workers, retirees, and their families through a local pension fund.

Collaborating with thought leaders and elected officials from across the country

My perspective is also shaped by lived experience. I’ve worked since I was 16, starting as a janitor, and I know how tough it is to live on minimum wage. I’ve felt the challenges of being a renter worried about displacement at the end of every lease. I understand how difficult saving for a down payment can be while watching housing prices soar. These realities drive my commitment to advocating for Lynnwood’s working-class families.
